Jay Enghauser is a nonbinary, bisexual writer and editor. They are the General Manager of Grass Roots Books & Music, an independent bookstore in Corvallis, Oregon. They earned a creative writing BA from Oregon State University magna cum laude, graduated the Denver Publishing Institute, and are a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. They live in the Willamette Valley with their spouse and four pets.

During their time at OSU, they were the Editor-in-Chief of PRISM, secretary of the Creative Writing Society, and a writing consultant for the Undergraduate Writing & Research Center. In 2023 they were awarded the Bernard Malamud Memorial Scholarship for Creative Writing Majors and received an honorable mention for the Undergraduate Weaver Award for Poetry.

Their creative works have been published by the literary journals Maudlin House, Grande Dame Literary, JakeTheMag, and others.
